Maroon 5 - One More Night Hit in Dept
One more night single was released on June 19, 2012 by Maroon 5. It was written by Adam Levine, Shellback, Max Martin and Savan Kotecha, while production was handled by Shellback and Martin. It is a pop song with a taste of reggae.
Lyrics
Lyrically, the song is built upon the idea of the quintessential push and pull between what the heart, mind and body want, which are usually opposing things. It starts with Adam Levine's "Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh", underlined by a reggae beat. "You and I go hard at each other like we're going ' to war", Levine sings and then tempers that statement by saying, "Try to tell you ‘no but my body keeps on telling you ‘yes’", lamenting over not being able to resist the attractive charms of an addictive person. The chorus finds Levine bewitched by someone he knows he shouldn't be with: "So I cross my heart and I hope to die / That I’ll only stay with you one more night / And I know I said it a million times / But I’ll only stay with you one more night."
Video
In the video, Levine becomes a boxer working to support his girlfriend and baby. As the singer spends time training for a big fight, he struggles to stay close to his girlfriend while raising their child together. Though he appears determined, his significant other seems troubled by his bloody profession and financial stability for their daughter and leaves him in the end.

Hinder - Meaning of the song lips of an Angel
Lips of an Angel by Hinder
This record breaking hit was released on July 24, 2006 (US) by band Hinder under the record label of Universal Republic.
Meaning of the song
The lyrics deal with the singer describing his feelings when his favored girlfriend from his past calls late at night, somewhat pleasantly interrupting his current relationship. More than once, a reference to the call being secret is made, and the singer expresses concern of a fight ensuing as a result. The song concludes just as it began, with the singer questioning to why she is calling so late, though the second (and last) time it is less literal and more figurative, with the underlying meaning "so late" not at night, but way too late in life; unable to continue the previous relationship. The song ends with the plot unresolved. According to a radio interview done in Atlanta, Georgia the lyrics are loosely based on an actual phone call incident that did happen.
